Who can leave a review
Only a customer who found a business through us, chose them, and told us they hired them. One review per job. We send the review link ourselves; businesses can't add reviews.
What we never do
- We never write, buy or swap reviews, and never pay or reward anyone for a good one.
- We never hide or remove a review because it's negative. A business can reply publicly.
- We never let anyone pay to change a rating or the order of reviews.
When we do remove a review
Only if it's abusive, includes someone's personal details, is about a different business or job, or the job turns out not to be real. We keep a record of every decision and the reason.
How ratings are worked out
A business's rating is the plain average of all its published review scores, out of 5, shown with the number of reviews. Older reviews count the same as new ones.
