Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this website, on any phone or computer.
What we do
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- Every page is checked at phone width before it goes live: buttons and links big enough to tap, text with enough contrast, every form field labelled, and nothing wider than the screen.
- You can use the whole site with a keyboard, and you can always see where you are on the page.
- You can zoom to 200% without losing anything, and animations stop if your device asks for less motion.
- The coverage map has a text description, and the same councils and numbers are listed as text on the home page.
What we know isn't perfect yet
- The PDF versions of our lists may not read well with some screen readers. Ask us and we'll send your list as an email or a spreadsheet instead.
